Spice up your room

Ever wondered how you can change the boring old look of your room, without painting it all over again. Well I have a solution you. The solution lies in adorning your drawing room or bed room wall with Tapestry. Tapestry is a form of textile art, woven on a vertical loom. There is a difference between cloth weaving and Tapestry. Cloth weaving involves both the warp threads and the weft threads and both the threads are visible to the eye. Tapestry is called as weft-faced weaving for the fact that the warp threading is hidden completely with the weave. Linen or Cotton is the most used thread for weaving. The cross weave in cloth called the weft is always wool or cotton though gold, silver and silk are also commonly used by weavers.
When I faced the problem of giving a new life to my drawing room I went in search of a good Tapestry;

This was what I found. This tapestry is a mix of Viscose, polyster & acrylic blend, woven in Italy. The beauty of this work lies in capturing even the minute detail of all the characters while not distorting the overall beauty. This work of baby Jesus surrounded by the three Kings gives a real aesthetic feel to my room. This tapestry cost me just around $704 and it is worth every penny spent.

Cool Artworks

Tampa, which is located just northeast of Florida is hosting an art event GO! Fashion, Art, and Music Showcase. How often do you get your creative works appreciated by others? What if the ‘others’ consist of critiques and industry experts? I would say one would be absolutely lucky to get that kind of recognition. Kat Lynes is one lucky girl in that respect. Her art pieces which got special attention were given their due respect by the Tampa city officials. In fact she was given her own room in The Ritz to showcase all her art work.

Well there are also a lot of other popular local artists displaying their work. But I would recommend that one should not miss her section. The paintings by Kat are full of emotions and have got a lot of aesthetic sense inculcated into the pictures. I especially loved the painting of a lady on a cloth. There was something vibrant about the lady in the painting, with her hair flowing and oval face. Though, the neckline of the lady was a bit long in lending a perfect finish to the face. The overall beauty would get one engrossed to it for hours. So, what are you waiting for? Go out and enjoy her beautiful creations, also you get to enjoy some music by the local band and two fashion shows.

Fashion Art Prints

Have you ever thought of bringing your room to life? It is just a simple thing that you have got to do to spice up your life. Just bring home an art print that suits your character and personality. But just be sure that you don’t burn your fingers by buying expensive stuff and then getting bored with it.

I have made a wise decision by bringing home a masterpiece. I got the print from the collection of a legendary photographer, Milton. H . Greene. It is titled “Reflections” by him. The photo is that of seductive twins who are on a chaise lounge. The photograph was taken by Milton H Greene, in 1949, in Connecticut. The photograph was printed on HP’s Premium Instant Dry Satin Photo paper because of which it still has got an unrivalled image quality. Since the photograph was old it was digitally re-mastered by The Archives, who has given the guarantee that it will last up to 200 years minimum. The authenticity of the photograph has been agreed by Jousha Greene, son of Milton H. Greene. The poise of those twins bear a distinct feature into your room, that they get the immediate attention of any visitor

My visit to a Sculpture Garden

The other day I visited the sculpture garden on the National Mall in the 7th street. I was really spell bounded by the beauty of the marvelous sculptures on display. There are a total of seventeen installations of famous sculptures. The sculptures include the works of Claes Oldenburg’s Typewriter Eraser, Scale X and Joan Miro’s Personnage Gothique, Oiseau-Éclair. All these are put up for display on the sprawling 6.1-acre block which is adjacent to the west building. One thing I noticed was the authenticity which the National Gallery of Art was trying to preserve the sculptures.

Among those sculptures the one I really liked was that of Claes Oldenburg’s Typewriter Eraser. It is a big eraser, brown in color fabricated with blue colored wires attaching to it, giving itself a giant eraser image. One would be marveled by the work done by the artist, who should have taken some real pains to create that amazing piece. For those sculpture enthusiasts who want to check it out and also about other works just go to the National Mall at 7th Street and Constitution Avenue NW. (The National Gallery of Art Sculpture Garden is bounded by Constitution Avenue and Madison Drive, and 7th and 9th Streets NW.

The Perfect Gift

I am sure that all you guys out there must have at one point of time rattled your head over what gift to buy for your sweethearts. Well think no more for I have the perfect answer for your dilemma. It is no great deal to gift a diamond ring or a necklace. This is a common fashion. Think out of the box, think designer fashion jewelery.

Last valentine day I brought for my sweetheart a charming Pink Enamel and Swarovski Crystal earrings. It was designed by the famous designer Catherine Popesco of La Vie Parisienne. The border of the earring is studded with brilliantly sparkling Swarovski crystals. In the inset is the pink enamel all of which rests prettily on beautifully crafted silver. In fact the whole beauty of the earring lies within the frame on which the designer has done a beautiful and elegant work. There is no need for me to tell you how thrilled my sweetheart was when I gave her my gift. This little gift of mine cost only $90 for the pair. With a width of 11mm and a length of 15mm, I am pretty much happy with the sweet words my sweetheart said to me.
